Funding
- Community
housing is financed from a wide range of funding sources in addition
to government funds. Approximately 27% of all dwellings funded in
June of 1998 were funded from multiple sources and 55% were funded
in part through the Commonwealth State Housing Agreement (CSHA).
Title Arrangements
- Title arrangement refers to the title (deed/mortgage) of
dwellings that are used for accommodation purposes only.
Community
housing organisations held title to 47% of dwellings surveyed in the
1998 Community Housing Mapping Project. However, this varied
considerably, depending on the funding source. Of those dwellings
for which title was held, the majority (77%) were funded from non-CSHA
sources. Twenty-three percent of dwellings for which title was held
were funded through the CSHA.
