    Sharing Our Stories; Sharing Our Successes’ will be the first international conference to bring indigenous housing providers from around the world together to share common experiences, showcase achievements, and strengthen indigenous housing by creating a global network. The Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA) will host this first World Indigenous Housing Conference, from June 11-15, 2012, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

    This AHURI Housing Research Seminar will present the findings from three new AHURI research projects - The drivers of housing supply and demand in rural and regional centres by Professor Andrew Beer (University of Adelaide), Pathways and choice in a diversifying social and affordable housing system by Dr Ilan Vizel (AHURI Research Centre—University of New South Wales) and Moving home: the role of housing policy in responding to and promoting mobility (Essay) by Dr Rae Dufty-Jones (AHURI Research Centre—University of Western Sydney).

    Homelessness Australia is hosting The 7th National Homelessness Conference - Making It Home: The Real Issues In Homelessness on 5-7 September 2012 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    The Conference provides a unique opportunity to gauge the sector’s progress towards achieving our national objective of halving homelessness by 2020.

    It brings together over 1200 participants from a large cross-section of homelessness services, academics, government and allied health professions to discuss directions for addressing homelessness in Australia.

    The National Housing Conference is a biennial conference co-hosted by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute and the housing department of the state the conference is held in. The Brisbane Conference was scheduled to be held in 2011, but due to the natural disasters experienced in Queensland it has been postponed for the following year.

    Where: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.
