VISION
A community housing system that provides secure, affordable and appropriate housing for people in housing need, promotes greater choice in housing, maximises tenant participation and builds sustainable communities.
GOALS
To develop and promote the community housing sector as a strong, independent and viable social housing sector where community housing providers have the maximum opportunity to regulate their own affairs.
To develop a tenant focussed community housing sector, based on quality and standards, which provides affordable and appropriate housing with security of tenure.
To continue to build the Community Housing Federation of Australia as an efficient, effective and sustainable national peak organisation which is responsive to its members' needs and development.
To maximise the financial and other resources available to the sector from Government and non-government sources in order to expand the role community housing plays in meeting the social housing needs in Australia.
