National Affordable Housing Exchange Announcements

CHFA’s National Affordable Housing Exchange to be held in Sydney on the 26-27 July 2012 is drawing closer. We are pleased to announce that Rod Fehring from Australand will be presenting the Keynote Address on Thursday 26 July. After being unable to speak as planned at last year’s Exchange due to a bike accident, we’re pleased that Rod is able to attend this year. Also speaking on the first day of the Exchange is the Hon Pru Goward, NSW Minister for Housing who will be addressing the Exchange during the afternoon.

Key topics being discussed at this year’s Exchange include:

  • Housing for older people
  • National regulatory framework for community housing providers
  • Writing a successful tender document with feedback from government funders
  • Establishment of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission
  • Proposed changes to charitable tax concessions
  • Setting the policy agenda for the next National Affordable Housing Agreement
